一本の木から削り出された匙です。壺は浅く、先へ向かってわずかに尖った卵形。柄は平たく、末端が斜めに切り落とされています。表面には刃物の跡がそのまま残っていて、磨き上げられてはいません。使われ続けた木肌は乾いた蜜色に変わり、壺の縁は片側だけが薄く擦り減っています。

Carved from a single piece of wood. The bowl is shallow and egg-shaped, tapering slightly to a point; the handle is flat, cut off at an angle at its end. The knife marks were left where they fell — this was never sanded smooth. Years of use have turned the wood a dry honey colour, and one side of the bowl's rim has worn thinner than the other.
