向かい合う番いの小鳥とハート、一本の木の枝を、白・赤・緑のエナメルで手描きした角瓶。エナメル絵付けは、吹きガラスの素地に顔料入りの絵具で彩色する技法で、窯元とは別の工房や職人が既製の器に絵付けを施す「ハウスマーラーライ（家内絵付け）」と呼ばれる分業の伝統の中で発展しました。 素朴な筆致で描かれた鳥やハートは、当時の農村文化における婚礼や求愛の贈答習慣と結びついた図像で、愛の贈り物として作られた「Liebesflasche（愛のボトル）」の系譜に連なる意匠です。同種のボトルは今日、中欧の民俗ガラス（フォークグラス）を代表するジャンルとしてコレクターに親しまれています。ドイツ〜ボヘミア、18〜19世紀。

A flattened flask hand-painted in white, red, and green enamel with a pair of facing birds, a heart, and a single tree branch. Enamel painting on glass involves decorating a blown blank with pigment-based paint, a technique that developed within a division-of-labor tradition known as Hausmalerei ('home painting'), in which workshops separate from the glasshouse itself painted finished blanks. The naively rendered birds and heart are motifs tied to rural courtship and wedding-gift customs of the period, part of the lineage of the "Liebesflasche" (love bottle), traditionally made as a token of love.
