肩から裾にかけてなだらかに膨らむ、洋梨形のガラスボトル。表面の螺旋状の筋文様は、畝（リブ）の入った型に一度ガラス種を吹き込み、型から外してさらに息を吹き込んで膨らませる「ディップモールド」という技法によって生まれます。型の直線的な筋が膨張の過程でねじれて螺旋状に変化するのが特徴で、17〜19世紀のヨーロッパ各地のガラス工房で広く用いられた手法です。丸みのあるフォルムに柔らかな陰影を加えています。ヨーロッパ、18〜19世紀。

A pear-form glass bottle that swells gently from shoulder to base. The spiral ribbing on its surface comes from a technique called dip-molding: the glass is first blown into a ribbed mold, then removed and further inflated freehand. As the glass expands, the mold's straight ribs twist into the spiral pattern seen here — a technique widely used across European glasshouses from the 17th through the 19th centuries.
