NUYIKE の四つの香り——ROSE ÉPICÉE、BOUQUINISTE、ORANGERIE、DANSE LENTE——を 5ml ずつ収めたミニコフレです。 ROSE ÉPICÉE — 薔薇にブラックペッパーやクローブを重ねた香り。最初に薔薇が立ち、そのあとからスパイスが追いかけてきます。 BOUQUINISTE — セーヌ川沿いに並ぶ古書のスタンドの名前です。パチュリのスモーキーさを古書と骨董屋の匂いに仕立てたもので、立ち上がりというものがなく、はじめから全体が均一に漂います。 ORANGERIE — ルネサンス期に東方の植物を育てるために建てられた温室の名前です。ベルガモットなどの柑橘とラバンジンが先に立ちます。 DANSE LENTE — 「スロウダンス」。アンバーを土台にタバコリーフ、ブドウ、ナツメグが重なり、最後にアンバーの余韻が残ります。 アルコールを使わず、人工香料も天然由来の化学香料も用いず、植物そのものの成分だけで組まれた香りです。四本あることの意味は重ねづけにあります。ブキニストを下に敷き、その上にオランジェリーやローズエピセ、ダンスロントを重ねると、香りに奥行きが出ます。 パッケージの布はフランスのデッドストックです。

NUYIKE's four scents — ROSE ÉPICÉE, BOUQUINISTE, ORANGERIE, DANSE LENTE — 5ml of each. ROSE ÉPICÉE — Rose with black pepper and clove worked into it. The rose arrives first and the spice comes up behind it. BOUQUINISTE — Named for the second-hand book stalls along the Seine. Patchouli's smokiness set as old paper and the inside of an antique shop. There is no opening note; the whole of it is there from the first moment. ORANGERIE — Named for the glasshouses the Renaissance built to keep eastern plants alive. Bergamot and other citrus come up first, with lavandin. DANSE LENTE — Slow dance. Amber underneath, tobacco leaf, grape and nutmeg laid over it, and amber left at the end. No alcohol, no synthetic perfume, no nature-derived chemical scent: the fragrance is drawn from the plants themselves. Having four of them is what makes layering possible — lay BOUQUINISTE down first and put ORANGERIE, ROSE ÉPICÉE or DANSE LENTE over the top, and the scent gains depth. The fabric on the packaging is French deadstock.
